Use of your Library Card

Your library card allows you to check out Books, DVD's, CD Audio Books, Games, Puzzles, Magazines, and Stem Kits.

Games, Puzzles and Stem Kits are not accepted through the book drop at this time (it can cause damage to other items inside the books drop)

*Books, CD Audio Books, Games, DVD's, Puzzles, Magazines, and Stem Kits are all  2 week check out at a time. 

*DVD's are limited to 5 per account per check out.

*Books are limited to 10 total per account per check out.

*E-Books and E-Audiobooks are available through Libby for residents with an Atkins address.

If you don't have an Atkins address we can assist you in helping you locating the correct library to get a Libby card.

LATE FEES: We do not charge fines for return of late materials; however, we do charge for damaged or lost materials at the full cost of replacement. 

RENEWALS: If you are going to be late returning your materials, please call is at 319-446-7676 to renew items. Renewal is not guaranteed if there are patrons that have reserved that item.

 

Get a Library Card

Please visit the library to get a library card. You will need to provide a Driver's License of a current photo identification with proof of address before your library card can be issued. If the ID is not current, a piece of mail with the current address is acceptable.
